Auto Delete

If Auto Delete is enabled and you either delete or disable an entry that was assigned to be handled by Windows you will be asked if you want the entry to automatically be removed when the computer boots up the next time.

In many cases when the system closes a program that was running, the program will be added back to the Windows startup area to be auto loaded the next time you boot. If you have changed a program so that it will be handled by Startup Guru you will want to do this, otherwise the program will start up before Startup Guru can do any scheduling. In some cases you could end up with two copies of the program running.

This is also handy for any recurring adware/spyware entries. By having them automatically deleted you can rest easier knowing they won't start up again on the next boot up!

You can verify which entries are in the auto delete section by going to the options screen and clicking on the Auto Delete tab. If you wish for something not to be monitored highlight the entry and click the delete button. If you wish for this option not to be enabled at all uncheck the Enabled checkbox. It will no longer ask you if you want to auto delete an entry as described above.
